Look at the shows they have out...cop procedural...court procedural...medical procedural...family sitcom. Between the 3 networks there's 0 variation. You'd think with streaming services putting out dope innovative shows they'd step their game up but nah they just dropping E.R., Law and Order, and NYPD Blue bootlegs for the last 20 years. Then spinoffs of other properties that work.

Network TV is just for old people who don't want to change and get into new formats like streaming/cable.
It also caters to the advertisers and what they want is uncontroversial programming. So highlighting cops, firemen, doctors and nurses works for them because those are salt of the earth people no one hates.
Poor people who have no choice but to watch free TV don't get catered to period. lol

I won't tolerate any SVU slander. NOT ANY!

Im not slandering SVU at all. Its a top notch show(or was i havent watched since Stabler dipped). its been running 20 years tho.
And when they finally end that, nbc will wait a year and produce something similar to it.
Continuing the cycle

I feel u. But we need shows like that. Shows u can just put on and it has a beginning middle and end all one hour. As u said in your first post. Streaming services are pumping out innovative shows because they need reasons for us to subscribe. Network tv will always go with "what works" because all they have going for them are the ads and ads wants to be seen by the highest number possible.

It's only gonna get worse from here. Look at all the shows that are ending. It's truly the end of a era. More and more people are gonna be looking towards streaming services for new shows to watch since like almost EVERY long running show is ending this year

This is just off the top of my head on whats ending this year

Game of Thrones
Power
Suits
Supernatural
Empire
Homeland
How to get away with murder
Mr Robot
Arrow
The 100
Agents of shield
Ballers
Claws
Criminal Minds
Will and Grace

Im probably missing some.

I agree that theres a place for these shows some of them are good i used to watch NCIS, SVU religiously.
But since streaming has been killing it with different types of shows it opened my eyes to how much the broadcast are lacking.
Really whats the difference between SWAT and Seal Team? NCIS, NCIS LA, and FBI? Its all the same shyt.
Just wished they tried to mix it up more. Cause they're lazy af

Cable style shows wouldn't do good on Network TV....

Most Network TV shows have 24 episodes per season where's most cable shows have 10 episodes per season.

Shows like GoT, The Wire and Better Call Saul wouldn't as great as they are if they had to do 24 episodes per season.

I honestly think a show like Walking Dead would be much better if they had to do 10 episodes per season rather than 16.

I can understand why Network TV does so many cops shows cause its easy to do "case of the week" with those types of shows.

Only elite shows in modern times on Network TV are sitcoms IMO, most of those are from the 90s and early 2000s Honorable mention to those NBC sitcoms which are also dope.

NCIS LA is much more action packed and has more fukkery (Its like Sons of Anarchy with NCIS Agents) where's NCIS is more slower paced :ld:
