I just don't see how Breaking Bad is fukking with the Wire. Breaking bad started out cool, but it didn't get crazy until they introduced the characters of Saul, Mike, & Gus. Those three characters took it to another level

It's close but the wire wins always. You in for a great show. Everybody should check both shows out if they haven't. And @hexagram23, big bang theory is goat.
I've enjoyed watching atleast. Haven't caught up most of this season. No comparison to the other two shows tho.

We all know why The Wire ain't win any awards. Brings too much attention to the real issues.
I'm about as critical as you can get when it comes to award shows but "The Wire" not being popular was also a factor. HBO already had "The Sopranos" getting nominated left and right, they wasn't about to let HBO double dip with a show nobody was watching.

The best character died in the first season. The nikka that was dikk or Don (whatever was his real name I forgot it) real brother. I thought that was an interesting storyline. But that nikka wife Betty (dumb ass name but she is a CAC after all) might just be one of the prettiest bytches I have ever seen. If I could put her face on a different bytch body she would be a dime piece. Gave up on the show right after that nikka got his foot ran over by a lawnmower.
