Bombay's defeat was tied to his father's death. Maybe thought he didn't honor his father losing that game, and you got Reilly out there like All of that as a git must have cut him deep.

Conway did have his moments. He had a knack for the game, and could definitely lead them to victory during the toughest odds. That's why there's no way they lose the first JV game unless it was self sabotage; Charlie leads them to victory in will alone. Plus by 3, he had doubled in size and more than likely got better. BUT I'm sure the rest did as well, so he's still 3rd at best on the team.

Wu was the Olympic figure skater...that's the only reason that put him on the squad...other than that, he was the Asian so the movie could be multiethnic and sell to international moviegoers
