over the top genius.

"Used to write and be well-spoke
Now all a nikka wanna do is fight and sell (Hey!)...tell joke"

The reluctant delivery and perfectly timed adlib adds humor to a line that describes his own rise and fall that can also coincedentally be used to describe the same rise and fall of the black community at large. :wow:

What kind of Cac List is this. cage and Cannibal ox over PAC :mjlol::mjlol:

Get this Fugazi ass cac list out this muthafuka :camby:

Would have given you props by just stating Doom is one of your personal greats, which I agree with

But then you had to spout off a goat list with Cannibal Ox and Cage :snoop:
can ox has one of the goat albums, cage the goat white man discography. i hate 2pac shakur. certain artists got their own vibes noone else got, you musta missed that part

My favorite rapper. I got into him around the time MM..FOOD came out. After listening to that album it's been very hard to get into other rappers. Everyone just started sounding weak all of a sudden. His multis are on another level. Being a fictitious character allows him to go places others can't. The humor is great too.

My favorite thing is all the obscure references he throws out.

He wonder should he get a baldie
Or keep his edge up v-shaped like
Mamuwalde

:wtf:

After a couple of years I found out who
Mamuwalde was:

Blacula is a 1972 American blaxploitationhorror film produced for American International Pictures.[1] It was directed byWilliam Crain and stars William Marshall in the title role about an 18th-century African prince named Mamuwalde, who is turned into a vampire and later locked in a coffin by Count Dracula.

Look at his hairline:

DOOM's next line:
That is the question
They wonder why he always wears hats in his sessions
:dead:

Then there was the line:
In a fly pose
No shirt, Alaye

Alaye was some male model calendar that they used to sell in the hood in the early 90's. You couldn't walk into a bodega without seeing the posters. You really gotta be up on 80-90's NYC hood culture to catch everything.

That Viktor Vaughn album might have had his best bars.

V. Vaughn, the travelin' Vaudeville Villain
Who don't give a flyin' fukk who ain't not feelin' him
Watch what ya dealin' him: Ace, king, death card
Strong-arm the wrong man, pardon the left, god
Get money and earn it, that "everything you touch turn" shyt
Got much to learn kid, light it up, burn shyt
Light it up like the Dutch when the hash melt
Only time they see him when they meet him with the cash belt
Ay carumba, now that's my number
One dry summer, as far as I remember
Burnt-out, but gainin' every edgy penny
Then he hit him straight to the head like Reggie Denny
Call him back when you need some more yak, Horshack
Doin' 80 down the Van Wyck on horseback
Your man sick, but he wreck tracks, puto
Get back too, bro, exactamundo
Viktor the director flip a script like Rob Reiner
The way a lotta dudes rhyme their name should be "knob shiner"
For a buck, they'd likely dance the Jig or do the Hucklebuck
To Vik it's no big deal, they're just a buncha knuckle-fukks
You wonder how well would they hold up in a holding cell
It sorta had the strange makings of a tale told in hell
Like "Oh well," hold tall riches
If the feds is really after them they just told all the snitches
On borrowed-time rhymes, gassed by the silver screen
They act like their monkey-ass can heal back like Wolverine
Mellow out what y'all bellow out ya yellow mouth
What happened to the kinda spit that used to help a fellow out?
No doubt, leave a rapper in a body cast
You wonder what he was doing while we was in karate class
Snotty ass, it's really like he was a white-belt
Right before he "night-night" ask him how the light felt
I wouldn't take their tape if they gave it free
Maybe it's me, baby it's V!
Throw down the key, y'all know how shyt be
In the naked city, rappers is so giddy
That's no ditty, Vaughn so witty
The way he take no prisoners and show no pity
It's how son became a big man from a black boy
To name names, a really big fan of Dan Akroyd
He feel they need to give him his own dance
This his only chance to shoot the gift like a lone glance
Or like a beef scene that leave the oo-ey smokin'
Or between Hoktuo Shinken and Nanto Suichō Ken

Real talk man. On that album he combined his usual intricate lyrics and crazy references with some straight up aggression on the mic, and slightly more grounded storytelling and concepts, all adding up to a ridiculous feat of MCing that, IMO, can stand with the absolute best
