Maybe, maybe not. Black male sexuality is frightening to america, the idea of a black man having any kind of woman he wants scares a lot of white folk and the thing about rap since the late 80s is that its been about giving a big "fukk you" to the fears of white people and just doing whatever and speaking on whatever you deem fit to speak on.
The throwing around of money, purchasing expensive things its all to show that white racism is not holding these rappers back from doing as they feel. They'll have the "precious" white woman gyrating half naked while they drink expensive champagne that was reserved only for rich white people, wear the expensive coats that only they were allowed to wear(shout out to cam'ron and his mink coats). Even the things that we see as excesses in Rap videos serve to illustrate a point: rebellion. Rappers are still rebelling against the idea that they as blacks should be subservient and not be in dominant positions. This is one of the reasons you hear people trying to say they're bosses and trying to start out their own record labels and what have you.
Now this music video right here is probably as you said, which is that its intended to reach a wider audience but really I doubt that's the case. Black female sexuality is more so detested by whites rather than feared. A man is somehow degraded for being with a black woman in the eyes of many white people as they associate black women with prostitutes (SMH @ Rhianna playing RIGHT INTO THIS STEREOTYPE with her stupid attention whoring ass) The thing that I've noticed is that an uncomfortable amount of mixed race people don't realize that they're throwing black people under the bus or don't really care as they may not even see themselves as part of the black community(a controversial viewpoint, but the fact is that North America is the only region on earth that denies mixed race people as being their own ethnic group seperate from both white and black people).
And honestly, you can't deny that white people feel more comfortable around mixed people than they do white people. A
video like this would probably never fly if Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, or Ciara tried to do it. White America would be too disgusted by the image, but a light skinned, half black person with a white person doesn't scare or repulse them as much. It's a problem as you now have a lot of mixed race people(especially women) representing black people and black culture even though they are technically not of the black community, and they are not even a sizable portion of the population. Also I'll be perfectly honest, whenever I see a mixed woman with a non-black male I'm never surprised. Never. So
@ some of you guys in here catching feelings as if you're entitled to both black and half-black women. They can be on that
policy if they fukkin want what the hell are you going to do about it? nothing. And especially since half-black women aren't "too black" for a lot of white dudes, they're seen as safer so your emotional asses shouldn't be surprised at all when you see them on that no nikkas program as they will get attention from both white men and black men and given that a lot of mixed women are white washed anyway, it follows that they'll gravitate more towards white men as the media constantly paints them as safer partners for women than black men.
