Because WE haven’t recognized our power yet. If one good thing came from this election, is that MOST black people whether “grass-roots” or “boule” have come to agreement that no one is our friend, and we’re all we got out here. That was a consistent narrative when the exit polls came out. For the first time in my lifetime anyways, BW said BM as a whole aren’t the problem (insert white women, Latino women, white men, and Latino men are).

x.com

This and few other tweets he made after these were my favorite posts this year. If all of us got on one accord and realized this, this shyt can change quick, but we gotta put petty shyt aside and see the bigger picture. We’re more instrumental in this economy than we give ourselves credit for

From 12:30 to about 26:00 he goes deeper into this issue. Then right after that he talks about the oxymoron of the “black conservative”.

Repped. Dr. Amos Wilson and other pillars of black scholarship left us tomes for us to work through. What do we do instead?

One thing he said often, the most destructive person in a black movement is the intellectual. We have many people who believe they are smart, but don't know how to not hinder themselves and the group.

Be for real the only people who even bring up Karma is people who see someone not deserving of the things they get because they are a "bad person"
-That's not how karma works. I shoot your brother, you shoot me in retaliation, I shoot up your house, you shoot up mine. That's an example of karma in its simplest form, a cycle of energy I keep giving & receiving.
....... And I'm supposed to believe in Karma? Good people die every day. Good people get fukked over every day. Demons seem to live long, prosperous lives. It is what it is..just don't expect me to use "karma" as cope.
-Good people getting fukked over & bad people prospering has nothing to do with how karma works.
If Drake can have his 15 year long dominance defeated by Kendrick with a fraction of the resources, then justice can be done. Sometimes demonically, but yes, it can be done.
-Drake's karma is personal & ego driven. He does snake shyt so people in his personal life don't love or respect him. He's always crying about it because it's eating him up inside. Kendrick was just the one with the talent & platform to show the world.

I'm a lil tipsy right now and I haven't read anything in this thread
But I kinda believe in karma. Not as an underlying mystical force controlled by the universe but as an idea.
Like if you're a piece a shyt if it's gonna catch up to you
Sayings like "what goes around comes around" exist because they're time tested
-"What goes around comes around", "You reap what you sew", "An eye for an eye", "You get back what you put in", etc.

-They're all the same basic concept. No need to believe in a mystical force controlling the universe.
