I heard the Ozarks is a good show.

Show is ok. Not great writing by any means, but there's rarely an episode where it feels like it's dragging. Plot armor is strong in this one, and suspension of disbelief is required. Nevertheless....not a bad watch.

Plot armor is almost the point. The show is basically asking you to suspend your disbelief that a Sitcom-type upper middle class dad has the ability to talk his way out if situations where drug cartels and various mafia-like organizations are ready to torture him to death, and somehow he always comes out of it alive (and usually richer than before). Over and over again. Imagine Michael Bluth's fantasy of imagining himself part of Narcos: Mexico and Breaking Bad.

I think its a good show, but its pretty far from what you might call realism.
