I'm not talking about just (relatively) recent history...I'm speaking on more natural human laws....a tribe typically wants to protect/shield its own women.

Obviously, a tribe can be beaten and therefore unable to do this....

I suppose there was certainly some feeling of resentment from white women towards black women during slavery. As I understand it, 12 Years A Slave is said to touch upon this with Sarah Paulson's character (I've not seen it yet, just read reviews).

Not sure if it even matters. Regardless of how the women feel, all proud men should feel an innate urge to keep their women away from outsiders.
