Games don't feel as openly hostile now, but they're still bullshyt out here.for every Little Nemo, ducktales, chip and Dale, Contra, and rad racer, there was hot off the press bullshyt like fukking bad dudes. Gaming generations from the nes era -onward feels like a a bell curve of difficulty, and i honestly think we get just as many games broken on release now, only now patches exist for console games

The Lion King was a standard difficulty game, it wasn't hard at all.
I was gonna say I remember the lion king having a couple parts where you had to get the timing right but it never felt frustratingly impossible. I beat that game a few times as a kid. I loved the fight with scar.

I barely beat any games back then, it didn't help that I also played outside and watch cool tv shows and shyt so if I got too fustrated I just turned it off and watched Thundercats.

I'm much better at 3D games

they were made to take your quarters in the arcade. even games that weren't in the arcade used a similar formula
Yep, and the first years of console gaming kept the same difficulty even for non arcade games because it was the industry standar.

That's why it was best to spin the block in middle school/high school on any of these you didn't beat back then via emulators :banderas:

My reflexes are shyt and I'm flabby status now. But I also have less patience and time to be remembering every pattern for R Type or some obscene platformer that gives you one life.

I still love to play retro games but I cheat at all of them. It felt so good to get that Clash at Demonhead monkey off my back :blessed:
