I have a serious problem and need some real legit advice

ok so my girl and I have been together for almost a year and a half, Ive been real close to her fam, usually seeing her brother and his fam along with her mom atleast 2-3 times a month every month. On the regular I would go to my girl's nephew's football and basketball games. Well, the last 2 months have been rocky, and her family knows we have been having problems because I havent been around any of them since the first week of September, plus my gf and I have been spending less time together, due to fights, which they were aware of. the past 2 weeks things have gotten much better and we have patched everything up, but I wasnt going to be going to her brother's house tomorrow for thanksgiving. My girl was going to split half the day with her fam and then in the afternoon come over to my place.

well tonight she tells me her brother wants me to have thanksgiving dinner with them tomorrow. I told my girl I had to think about it because im going to feel uncomfortable in the house knowing that they all know we have been having problems. My girl says I need to put my pride to the side. Should I go, or stay home

being away from home spending time with her n her fam could bring yall closer.....

I'd go. Last thing you need is her family trying to talk to her about the relationship; if you don't go they'll be getting crazy info from her during dinner

yeah i guess i will go, shyt I just filled up my tank now I have to drive 25 miles there and then 25 miles back, by myself because I think she is already at her brother's place.

exactly, i remember summer 2011, there was a week I drove out there 3 times and thats when gas was pushing $4, the trip eats up my gas, but usually when we go out there we are there for like 7-8 hours, her brother bbqs a lot

real talk if I dont go it will make things worse, my girl will be pissed, her family might take it personal, and it does nothing to fix/heal what has been going on for the past 2 months, plus her fam is cool peoples, and my girl is right if I dont go i will be stubborn
