so the more successful a rapper he is the better? Just stop dude, this is a terrible thread with terrible logic

reading is fundamental.

If that's all you got from my post and the subsequent ones, then you're not that bright.

@2meo aka @The Ruler 09 , you just gon hide in the shadows and neg like a lil biotch (no Sir). You have nothing to add? I can't remember a single comment you've ever made on anything, but you always find your way to SirBiatch threads. Thanks for the support :blessed:

that's not what I'm saying. Just because you can't read closely doesn't mean I'm wrong.

How did you mentally jump from

SirBiatch: "You can not be amazing at rap and no one knows who you are nor knows your songs."

to

DrHackenbush: "so the more successful a rapper he is the better?" (bad grammar and all)

The Coli is filled with cats like you who can't fukking read or understand the main point of an argument. which is why you bless me with negs and overall bytching.

But it's all good :myman:

your obviously sleeping on how big spittas fan base is, he is arguably a top 3-5 underground hip hop rapper who gets features from well respected nikkas in the industry.

and not being known is pretty subjective now, its 2015 you have cac miller and joey badass who are also unknown outselling a-b list rapper in first week and overall sales.

That's the main part I disagree with in the OP. Curren$y has a rabid fan base. I went to his show and dudes was throwing joints on stage and trying to get him to sign their Jordans.

Another awful thread from OP. As usual, your conclusions are incredibly forceful, but the premise for your conclusion isn't sufficiently defined.

And Below The Heavens was a top three album in 07. And Blu was spitting as good as anyone that year. If you were a hip hop head in 07 - you either had that album or wanted to check it out. The follow up was great too.

OP has a point. Every successful rapper was once in the underground, and they've been able to make music good enough to transcend into the mainstream because the average person could connect with they shyt on some level.

Like, let's look at Drake--the dude is the prototypical underground rapper. He grew up middle class, is half-white, was on a teeny-bopper soap opera, and is half-JEWISH. He wasn't supposed to make it. But he did. Because he makes really good songs. And he's a rapper who drops at least one clever/relatable line in almost every verse he writes. And his delivery is fun. Thus, he blew up. I remember back around 2007, there was a Top 10 who got next list...and on that list were Drake, Wiz, and Skyzoo to name a few, and at that time, I was fukking with all three of those rappers musically, and I was getting into Curren$y as well. I was literally bumping all of those four artists everyday. But of those rappers, I picked Drake and Wiz to have commercial success, because they have appeal to the average person, not just some grimy one shower a week nikkas in Champion hoodies and backpacks. That appeal came from the fact that they didn't just have great lyrics but they were great rappers.

One of the most underrated aspects of being a great rapper/musician is being charismatic. Underground rappers stay underground because they lack charisma--period. Rappers make it into the mainstream because they have charismatic deliveries and are fun to listen to.

Wanna make it as a rapper? Your lyrics gotta be relatable, your delivery has to be easy on the ears, and you gotta be charismatic. Period. Most underground rappers lack charisma--and that's why they stay underground.

Yet I'm continually negged by those who don't, nor ever made a point in their Coli lives. Doesn't stop them from tagging me in posts or making threads in my name :blessed: Funny how that goes.

One of the most underrated aspects of being a great rapper/musician is being charismatic.

It is THE most important part of being an artist as far as I'm concerned, especially in hip hop. It's only become underrated because of the surge of new rap fans over the last 15 years who are complete lames and themselves lack charisma.

yep

Rappers make it into the mainstream because they have charismatic deliveries and are fun to listen to.

yes and no. More often than not, they break into the mainstream because they're cookie-cutter charismatic and cookie-cutter fun.

But your point still stands: a large group of people think they're charismatic and fun.

LOL. Compelling argument. Here's my rebuttal:

Suck my dikk, cac

Fixed. He's a cac. Likely The Ruler 09
