Post a trap beat that has amazing replay value. You say it's better than boom bap? There are boom bap beats that have survived 20-30-40 years of replay value.

How long has trap been the default hip hop sound? 5 years? 10 years? Somewhere between?

What are these trap classics, these phenomenal trap songs that have as much replay value as the classic boom bap shyt? They've gotta be tons of them, right? Since trap > boom bap, right?

Let's goooo!

neg if you must. bytch if you must. This is your time to defend your beloved :trash:

When did TM 101 come out '05? If so... Then yeah... You're thread is gonna die fast

TM 101 is :trash:

But I imagine there'll be an influx of children neggin me and talking about how it's classics blah blah blah.

Even if TM 101 had great beats, which it doesn't, that can't be your only example. Can it? And we're a long ass way from those beats.

How can anyone hear Metro Boomin/London on da track/Zaytoven and think "yeah, this is gonna last. This means something."

very.

LOL at you pretending that anyone who thinks TM 101 is trash isn't worthy of convo. As though they don't "get it."

How old were you when it came out? High school? Grade school?

I don't listen to childrens rap

The entire genre is built on grooves too complex for an actual musician to lay down :scust:

Please elaborate. What do you mean by this?

Once the novelty of hearing 1/64th notes wears off, you start to wonder 'where is the soul in this music?'

What do you mean. I don't get it. Please explain.

Trap beats are usually of inconsequential nature, resulting a higher perception of dopeness to anything on them . . it doesn't take much to outshine the production, rather than vice-versa where something's so dope musically you can't even put anything to it that's worthy of it

:ohhh:

I don't have a technical knowledge when it comes to beats. So you think the lack of soul in trap comes from the hi hats?

Personally, trap beats are just trash. Dull instrumentation, dull groove.
Trap might be the only genre of music where the producer can't lay down the groove themselves.

Someone correct me if Im wrong..
