Why not? Is there something about him I missed?

Ain't there more to you?
Don't it ever get boring to you?
I realize deep down
You a coward getting high off of power
Fucc it, more to you...saw through you
And it made me ashamed that I played the game
Not for more money like Damon Wayans
Wanted the respect but it came with fame
I just wanted love but this ain't the same
I took a train down memory lane
And watched little Jermaine do his thang
Before he made a name
It's like Sony signed Basquiat
He gave it all he got
And now the nucca don't paint the same
Damn...I guess he can't complain...
All the money that be raining in
Spent a hundred thou for the chain again
Thinking old school nuccas like Dana Dane
Probably kill for another claim to fame
My brain the same, yeah nucca
At least he ain't insane...
At least he ain't insane
You ain't crazy muthafucca
You're just afraid of change...hey
That's new...maybe that's true
But listen here, I got a bigger fear
Of one day that I become you
And I become lost and I become heartless
And numb from all the menages
Just one bytch don't feel the same no more
And Henny don't really kill the pain no more
Now I'm Cobain with a shotgun aimed at my brain cuz I can't maintain no more...
Tad bit extreme, I know
Money can't save your soul
But there go you

:wow::wow:

But do you Breh

Cole sang Straight Up by Paula Abdul on some terrible single from his first weed plate. That moment crystalized his herb status forever to me. Then he managed to top that head scratcher with the pathetic "I let Nas down"

He also sounds like a wigger.

J Cole absolutely sucks.

And yet every Cole thread you post in, kinda weird breh..

..Sould you not be posting the latest real NY hip hop? From LA?

I'ma be real honest, I think you raisin the bar too high. The level of musical excellence + credibility you seem to demand is just unnatural and as I'm beginning to believe, unattainable.

Its like the club opened one night, ASAP Rocky runs in and then turns around and barricades the doors shut. No one else gonna come in B?

You just gonna let him stay in there all by himself?:ld:

Theres other people knocking on that door, and they might not be ASAP Rocky, but that don't automatically make them unworthy fuccboys (although many are).

The rapper you are looking for is:

-extremely intelligent
-extremely hard/gangster
-songs full of quotable
-no logical fallacies in the rhyme
-Ungodly beat selection which is tailored only to your current desires
-Not from the South or West
-Not a plant
-Not from a good family background
-Didn't receive any sort of help in attaining their buzz
- Not Corny
-Not trying to be lyrical
-Can't be to sure of themselves
-No cosign
-Can't be too mainstream
-Must rap about a diverse subject matter

How many of these motherfuccers like this do you think exist?:francis:

Just to state the obvious: j Cole sucks. It can't be said enough

Search my threads. you'll find a smorgasbord of new music posted by yours truly.

I have seen your threads on Ny dudes, and appreciate it. Just don't get your weird obsession with posting in every cole thread. But whatever, I will never grasp dudes who dislike a artist. Always commenting on said artists. Just weird to me..

It's just something I'm entertained by. It's a running joke for me. But make no mistake, he completely sucks.

Spread the hate around since I've spent quite some time shytting on Kendrick (as necessary).

How do people actually listen to this bland half-negro? The dude is a straight up Roc Nation product. Him and Drake are the original boy band rappers.

First time I heard of J Snore, he had released the Simba video. I thought: "Lion fukking King? that's what's hot in the streets right now?!" Lo and behold, corny youngins around me ate that shyt up. I was confused. They were entranced by the video and his lightskinnedness

Then (or around that time) he got affiliated with Hov and the typical "hip hop savior" campaign went into overdrive. Despite having a spot on Blueprint 3, Cole wasn't popping yet. Until he released two shyt mixtapes full of classic beats. Then all of a sudden, he was "the new Nas" and a "deep sociopolitical thinker".

Despite only rapping about two things: The come-up and how he could get your girl to give him brains.

First of all, how are you even considered a dope rapper if you've never blown up based on original production? I heard more buzz about the "Dead Presidents", "Too Deep For the Intro" and "Best Friend" more than any original Cole track. With the exception of "In the Morning", which featured an early Drake stimulus package (someone needs to make a thread about Drake's Obama-like tendencies). Those freestyles were garbage as is 99.9% of Cole's material.

Almost everything I've heard since then follows the same tired formula. Basic 'real' topics executed in the blandest way with RnB-ish tendencies.

Bland beats, bland flow and shyt rhymes = J Cole.

Negged after the first paragraph.

:what:

not even. I'll tell you once and for all how this goes with me.

The three things I pay attention to (in order)
1. Beat selection (how amazing is the beat? replay value?)
2. Flow (are your cadence and rhythm captivating?)
3. Rhymes (how smart/unique are your rhymes)

Out of a 100% that makes a track dope (100% being classic, 0% being PM Dawn this nikka)
Beat selection is 50%
Flow is 35%
Rhymes are 15%

Even if you say Rocky's rhymes are pure shyt (they're not, but no more than 5%), dude's still at 85%. Which is A- shyt. Dude has the best beat selection and flow I've heard from anyone in a decade. I don't see how this is an outlandish statement. Why do you think he blew up faster than any rapper in 10 years and is still around?

These other cats have shytty/lackluster and wholly generic beats, wack generic flows and generic shyt rhymes. Of course this is all my opinion. You like what you like.

I think Cole sucks something terrible.

This thread is pretty much accurate, although I will admit Cole is getting marginally better.

But he is no 'top' rapper from a skill point of view. Slightly above average.

OP continues to put in quality work railing against the machine.

Props.
