so many. I couldn't even list them.
The issue is that I like very few rappers since 2005. Do you want to know the pre-2005 rappers or the post-2005 rappers?
I'm a big Nas fan, but he ain't really known for being charismatic. He's known for his lyricism and storytelling more than anything else.
So how can you tell a compelling story without charisma?![]()
Future is garbage. And no, I won't be entertaining Rocky deflections.
Y'all are stanning a Lil Wayne/T-Pain clone. It's actually incredible to me. A dude who can't use autotune correctly, mumbles dumb shyt through his entire discog, and is only "on" because of Ciara... is the guy that's supposedly great for hip hop.
It's 2015 and dude is still talking about Ciara to sell songs. TMZ ass nikkas.
This dude makes the same song over and over and over ("oer an oer an oer" *Future voice*). Same trap style of production. You have to be a boring dude to stomach this kinda shyt. Can you imagine listening to 10 Future songs back to back? Same bullshyt mumbling, same tempo, same apathetic soulless flow?
No charisma and 99% trash beats. Can you really tell me there's a major sonic difference between 56 Nights, Beast Mode and Monster? You know there isn't. But I can't wait for what your gymnastics comes up with.
Drake did that nikka a favor.
Ok you've got a point. I'll take this L.So how can you tell a compelling story without charisma?![]()
Both lists if you don't mind.
pre-2005:
Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, Nore, Rakim, Mos Def, KRS, Slick Rick, Snoop, Prodigy, Missy, Redman, Wu-tang, Q-tip, Mase, 50 Cent, Smif-N-Wessun, bruh..... too many. People now have no idea how much talent was out back then.
I look at 99.9% of these new cats and I'm in shock as to how fukking mediocre and trash they are.
post-2005 (I'm talking about new nikkas that came out after 05)
*Sean Price (he's not new but he reinvented himself. and songs from his two solo albums got me through the bullshyt years of 2005-2008.
Lil B
ASAP Rocky
Prince Ali (local Toronto rapper. Not necessarily a good rapper, but he had some strong songs on "I Miss 94")
Blu (I liked, not loved, some of his early material. Mars Remix blew me away. FOR REAL. I thought Blu could really do something special after that but he fell off something serious. and he was never that great to begin with).
Pretty much it![]()
Not gonna read the full thread.. All imma say is You've never listened to future pre 2014
I don't normally comment on OP's threads cause I know he's trolling at this point...
and some of his troll threads do keep the booth active which is a good thing.
Unfortunately this one is pretty bad lil homee. You actually picked the one trap artist that doesn't annoy the fukk out of me to shyt on. Plus you said Drake did him a favor, you must be on crack
Champane dirty mackin ass puppy ruined that collab, cause he don't know how spit on those beats, he needs a 40shishaboib to get on his gritty.
Thats why 30 for 30 was the only song he was in his comfort zone on , the rest of them shyts was awkward as fukk![]()
Most people take music too seriously. You gotta understand breh the type of music Future makes is just for entertainment and mindless turnup music/club music.
If you want to listen to some deep rap that invokes thought I wouldn't suggest listening to Future
@MAKAVELI25 @Drake's Tan and all the other dumb posters who think Nas aint got charisma or whatever.
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/«-n-·-a-·-s-·-t-·-y-»-official-nas-thread.2899/page-893
watch the videos with Rae and Common and tell me Nas aint got charisma.
Find me a video of Future saying something interesting, telling some sort of a story or getting loose. Not mumbling.
Future has mega charisma, they said
I'm telling you breh. These cats have no idea what they're talking about. They're just blurting shyt out to deflect from the ether of the thread - hoping that something will stick.
