It seems like it would be much easier to just take spot up jumpshots and pull-ups from a guard's position later on in your career than how Westbrook is trying to play.

This makes no sense. We've seen Jason Kidd and to an extent Rondo do this. Later on, instead of trying to get to the rim to score all the time, just refine and make your jumpshots. This guy is playing with Lebron James who's one of the best and most willing passers ever and this nikka out here bricking off the top and side of the backboard


Someone make it make sense. It's such an easy transition. How has he lost all of his shooting touch like this? He used to be decent in the midrange at least.

Apparently he doesn't watch film from what I've heard.

He's a great athlete, and obviously loves playing. But he doesn't love the details of the game, the subtleties. He wants to just play his way, whichever way eh feels comfortable.
