I don't look down on people who work low paying, hourly wage, cleaning etc jobs at all. But I do notice if I run into someone I went to school with and they aren't happy with where they are at or are working a job similar to what I alluded to earlier, they will act embarrassed.

But once they see I don't care, they calm down and it's all good.

exactly. you gotta be a mix of about whatever you have to do to get to your goals. see it as a stepping stone. think of those two smilies whenever you're in those types of situations. if the job is too degrading for you to muster that energy (cleaning, etc is not degrading, i'm talking about selling your soul) then you need to quit that job.
