lauri markannan ain't on the list either, and he was EASILY a top 5 rookie and will make all rookie first team.

Markannen is just another guy. He's not special. He'll be simply a stretch 4. He's not a superstar like Tatum and Lonzo.

And the only reason I missed on Mitchell and Kuzma is because I never heard of them or watched their film. The NBA isn't exactly the sport where steals develop into stars. I limited my evaluation to the guys who were projected to go high and had years of hype.

I guess for 2018 I will have to expand my scouting to be sure I don't miss the next Donovan Mitchell or Kyle Kuzma.

I wish I had seen film on him before the draft or even heard his name. Both he and Kyle Kuzma were mysteries to me.

If I would have known about them, I would have correctly predicted their success as well.

My eye test is better than everyone else.

I mean you had like 5 or 6 ACC guys in your top 10 but you never heard of a guy who was on 1st team all acc?

I don't watch college basketball.

I just wait until a few weeks before the draft, look up at the mock drafts, see who is projected to go high and watch their tape. I then rank the guys based on what I think rather than what the consensus is.

Since this is the NBA, I don't try to find steals cause it typically doesn't happen in the NBA. Most of the stars are typically drafted in the top 5-10. This past season was just unusual with Mitchell and Kuzma being huge steals.

And yet somehow Terrance Ferguson made your list

No way in hell you should make draft threads like you’re some kind of expert if you don’t even watch college basketball :dead:

The stupidest thing you can do to try and project players to the NBA is watch college basketball. There is literally no correlation between the two. Scrubs like Adam Morrison and Jimmer Fredette dominated college basketball. And they couldn't even play in the NBA.

I stick to my methods. They have worked out very well thus far. I only watch a few minutes of tape. If the guy doesn't immediately impress me I don't give a shyt about him.

You can tell whether someone can or can't play basketball from less than one minute of action. Sometimes I can tell a great player just by seeing them run up and down the court without the basketball. There is an aura, a grace, an elegance that greatness exudes that is easy to see.

He was a very highly rated recruit in the class of 2016. He played the under-19 Team USA tournaments that I watched. Plus he's a freaky athlete with a good shooting stroke.

He's gonna be a very good player in the NBA in due time. He's got the perfect 3nD body type and skill set.

So your method is watch one minute of Youtube highlights and if their game attracts you and gets you excited about “elegance” this determines their position :mjlol:

Anyone with an brain can tell if college stars’ skill sets will translate to the NBA, but you still gotta watch the damn tape. The teams that drafted those slow-footed bums were morons :mjlol:

My methods helped me see Markelle Fultz for the bum he is when everyone else was acting like he was the unanimous #1 pick and also let me see Jayson Tatum for the superstar he is when everyone else had him behind Fultz, Lonzo, Josh Jackson, and De'Aaron Fox. Remember, before Danny Ainge traded down to the #3 pick, most people had Tatum going 5th after Fultz, Lonzo, Jackson, and Fox. When I rated him the #1 player in this draft, I was making a very bold move. He wasn't even the #3 prospect at that point. Most people had him behind Josh Jackson and De'Aaron Fox as well.

I'll stick to my ways. They are more reliable.
