I've felt the same way as OP years ago. Yes this country is going down but there's no reason to be emotional about it. Empires come and go. Patriotism or a blind allegiance to a single country is just as stupid as religious fanaticism.
Personally I'm not quite sure where I want to move to. I used to be obsessed with Brazil but the race issues down there are worse than the US. I may look like a typical Brazilian or South America and may be able to blend into their society without enduring any racist BS. But I exclusively date black women (dark brown skin). What will happen when me and my black wife are walking down the street and some random guy decides to call her the 'n' word or spit on her?
