Great first book. It was perfectly paced and character development was on point. I like the fact that the book's perspective stayed on Katniss instead of jumping around to different characters perspective. Even when other characters were developed, their development were strictly through the eyes of Katniss, either from present, or backflash. It gave the readers true sense of what it was like to go through what Katniss went through.
- I think it would have been better if Peeta explained to Katniss how he was able to trick the Careers into him joining them when the games first started. That seemed to be an detail that needed a little bit more explaining.
AGREED
- The Wolves at the end who were engineered with parts of the other contestants. That seemed something more ominous that what SC did with it and their involvement in the end.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
- None of the other Careers couldn't climb trees?
SHE WAS LIKE 60 FEET UP breh
- And they couldn't hit Katniss with a bow and arrow when she's just sitting up there even when these guys supposed to have been training with all sorts of weapons since they were young?
It was mentioned that Cato could throw his spear as accurately and as far as Katniss can shoot her bow and arrow, yet he couldn't hit her when she's a sitting duck?
I'm nitpicking here, but overall I give that book a 92 out of 100.
