i don't understand how anyone can shyt on Mad Men.
the writing is brilliant. so much foreshadowing, symbolism and social commentary.
the characters are complex, multi-dimensional entities that you can hate and sympathise
with at the same time...and that in itself is something you MUST appreciate.

This might be the GOAT closing sequence. Sums up exactly what Orbital just mentioned. Subtle yet fukking epic.

Im convinced that some people are just too stupid to appreciate well written shows

One of the slick ways I've used to unmask these people, ask them if they liked Season 2 of The Wire. If you get anything close to "Nah, my ni99a. Not enough of the streets.......where was the streets, my ni99a! Don't nobody wanna see all that dock sh-t!"

Most fans who shyt on Mad Men are probably also fans of the Wire (A show where literally nothing can happen an entire episode besides some cop attempting to wire a building or a pigeon coup or sum shyt) where you MUST have patience due to alot of "filler" episodes and seasons (2 and 5) so I don't think lack of attention span is the reason for why they may dislike it. Patience is required for a show like The Wire

Maybe Mad Men just sucks?
:manny:

The Wire is a show about drug dealing, good guys/bad guys and killing that takes place in the ghetto that relates more to the streets. Mad Men is a show about class, getting ahead in work and personal struggle within in an upper class society that relates to sophisticated type people.

I enjoy both shows, but I see why some people don't like MM. It's not for everyone.
