And by looking at these lists you can clearly see that it has been a horrible decade for hip hop
Nas, Pac, Big, Jay. Those guys basically never got replaced. Many of these modern rappers might be at the top of the game now but does that make them legends? I don't believe so.

Where The Grass Is Blue
take care
Take Care is his best body of work, and I understand why people label it a classic

To me though, Take Care was excellent music around that point in time...but I don't have the urge to revisit it and to tell you the truth I probably never will

But that's just me

Hasn't aged very well, I agree. I think Views has the best lasting appeal for Drizzy and NWTS (for me) was his best complete product. Drake at his height.

nikka i dont have the urge to revisit hardly anyone named in this thread besides him.
Drake makes a better argument than anyone. ANYONE.
I'm not even naming drake based off of how much a fan i am.
I look at who's music meant what and drake is leading the pack by a very longe range.
Them other nikkas waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind.

People saying Schoolboy Q :laff:

How delusional is the booth that they think q is a legend?:laff:

NO Classics, albums have NO legs, isn't lyrical at all. No!

Here's the legends, whether we want to admit it or not

Kendrick (his whole marketing is based on making him one)

Drake (obvious, but he could be a joke soon enough who knows)

Danny Brown (underground legend, critical darling)

Tyler The Creator/OF in general (undeniable, the influence they carry in the underground is undeniable)

SGP (Fathered a whole style that's still influencing to this day)

ASAP (At least one classic release, influential)

Cole (Plat no features! His fans love him, a legend in their eyes)

Chance (one great release and ridiculous amount of planting to seal his spot, he's seen as the new Kanye)

Waka (Classic that influenced a generation)

Future (We will see, he might be a joke, he's got a solid catalog though, and surely influential)

EDIT: Narrow it down to 5

I'm going
Kendrick
Drake
Cole
Future
Chance

which someone else said

If we're gonna keep it a buck Drake's music doesn't mean shyt since he uses ghost writers, and if you still see him as a credible rapper after that fact then you're delusional

And as for the artists I named I can honestly say that I have or will find myself revisiting albums of theirs again...not saying that matters to anyone else but that matters to me when we're discussing legendary careers

Yeah Drake is successful, one of the reasons why I would consider him a legend...but do you really think outside of serious Drake fans people will be eager to hear a lot of those songs again?

Nelly was a successful rapper too but nikkas ain't fiending to play Hot In Herre or E.I.
