Amazon Prime exclusive shows are extremely trash..

Hulu too... Except for runaways

Same, most of their shows aren't very good. I liked the first season of Red Oaks and Mozart in the Jungle, but by the start of the 2nd season, both shows got extremely dull

Can't wait for that Wong Kar Wai show about the Triads in the 30s, ooh that's going to be great :whew:

I think that show Extant was pretty good too... I forgot about that

It was starring Halle Berry and that fine chick from Dope

That was a CBS drama, got cancelled after the first season. Their shows are just so...bland and white

There was 2 seasons on Amazon..

But if it wasn't an Amazon exclusive then its back to my original point... They're trash compared to Netflix

Talk about Amazon, but then list shows from Starz and USA, brehs
:russ:

Right, had me in here like :ohhh:

"I didn't know Amazon had American Gods and Mr. Robot"... they do have Mr. Robot for streaming tho, just not the new stuff while it's currently on, you have to pay for it on an episode by episode basis.

I hate Amazon primes interface. It's terrible. The only shyt on there that interest me are the old HBO shows and since I have a separate HBO account, why would I use prime for that either??

That's how I watched it in the UK. I assume it's the same for international audiences :yeshrug:

:yeshrug: Say what you will but I don't think I've found a show that has particularly gripped me from Amazon. I liked American Gods and Mr Robot, but too much of my praise would go into saying "it's pretty" rather than writing or acting.

That's not to say Netflix is the be all and end all, but I've been more compelled by Black Mirror, 13 Reasons Why and The Crown than any Amazon show. It just kinda sucks cos Amazon has got some hot properties to come out soon, but I give it a second thought and it's like "why should I care really?"

What you saying though?
most people use amazon for prime; free 2-day shipping, free returns, the music streaming, video, kindle books, cloud storage = more for your money >>> netflix by itself
i don't know anybody that is only signed up to amazon video.

basically amazon has a lot more to worry about than prime originals...Netflix gets more hype off social media with their "originals" because thats all they do.

Sneaky Pete was dope for me, and Patriot was an entertaining espionage dark comedy :ehh:

I’m looking forward for season 2 of both shows. I guarantee if both were Netflix series both would have been praised non-stop and would have solid followings. Goliath is also a decent show.

The problem for Amazon is that they have not turned their video service and original series into a cultural phenomenon like Netflix. “Netflix and chill” is marketing netflix had little to do with and that pays for itself.

It’s weird that with the amount of money amazon has, they can’t advertize and market Prime Video better. I know people that have Amazon Prime for shipping and discounts and had no idea about their streaming service and original series being part of their prime subscription. Amazon needs to create more quality content and do a better job at making it visible and accessible. Their user interface is kinda clunky and they do a poor job at supporting their content with accessibility options, for example, everything on Netflix has subtitles and audio options for those of hard hearing, in contrast Amazon only has it for a few select series/shows, it may sound like a minor issue but it reflects the effort put into the service

I think the premise for about 4 Prime originals have interested me. They all seem boring. People rave about them from time to time, but I'm not sitting and watching Homecoming or Bosch, sorry. I still never find shyt on Prime, only good British shyt like Peep Show and Fleabag.

I don't really find jackshyt on Netflix either anymore, tbh. Don't want Disney to take over the world, but i kinda hope they strike fear in Netflix and Prime's hearts. Netflix is spending like $100 billion a year on mostly crap. I'm lucky to find one new movie/show a month I'm jacked up for.

I'm eatin' :ld: I think Amazon is weaker with OG content compared to Netflix but they got some possible piff coming like The Expanse, LOTR, Consider Phlebas, Conan, Wheel Of Time, and The Boys.
