This is at 37, too.

One of the all-time out of nowhere seasons so far.

like i said earlier, the knuckleball is a tough pitch to throw in wet conditions, so his one start in Atlanta in the ran fukked his season up.

these are his numbers without 1 start - 94.2 IP, 59 H, 14 ER, 19 BB, 98 K, 11-1, 0.718 WHIP, 1.33 ERA

but it counts, so it's kinda pointless to post them... but still, god damn!

Its not going unnoticed.

If he can carry this on until the end of the season I think he is going to win SI Sportsman of the Year. The season is incredible and the back story on top of that.

I looked it up and most of these guys had their amazing seasons in their late 30s

His k:Bb ratio is nuts for a knuckler tho (and for him based on his career)

Anyone else in here throw a knuckler when they played?

I threw an OK one, Wakefield's 2-finger grip style...but I throw a ridiculous one with a softball ....4 fingers.....

I wonder why there aren't many knuckleball pitchers in the major leagues. You can have a very long and successful career with that one pitch and decent fastball
