Restart your router brehs :jawalrus:

CHICAGO — Comcast will increase the speeds of its Blast and Extreme 50 Internet plans in March for no additional cost, the company announced Tuesday.

The Blast plan will increase its maximum download speed from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps and its maximum upload speed from 4 Mbps to 10 Mbps.

Extreme 50 will increase its maximum download speed from 50 Mbps to 105 Mpbs and its maximum upload speed from 15 Mbps to 20 Mbps.

To activate the new speeds when they become available, customers need to restart their cable modems, Comcast stated in a release.

In April, Comcast plans to increase the speed of its Performance plan as well.

Mediacom :sadcam: I'm on 30/2... They don't offer the 50 or 105 in my area even though they offer it in another part of town...They're expanding but won't give an estimate

telecom companies or cable companies since they already have the infastructure in place. this also applies to comcast since they have the cable infastructure in place to provide high speed internet service.

Was going to make a thread on this, but I see this one here already.

I just restarted my modem and router. Now I'm hitting 55 mbps

Was at 35 before, so I'll take it.

Bout to see how fast I can download something before going to bed

this must be only chicago.. I just did this, and nothing changed for me..

Yeah, right now it's just hitting Chicago. I believe they started doing this on the East Coast a few months ago. Boston is the first city I heard about getting it. I started seeing commercials saying this was going on out here earlier in the month. Plus I read it somewhere online.

But I do believe they plan on doing this for all of their markets eventually. Word is they're going to drop a 300mbps package in the summer which is why they're boosting up the existing speeds for free.

I really think they're just trying to spoil us while we don't have a cap and then hit us with it after we've been feasting...

I'm a get it in while I can though.

Nope they did it here in Houston on the 23rd. Its happening everywhere.

I was at 35 before just hit 66 down. But that was hardwired. I can still only pull 15 down wireless. Is that normal or do I need new router?
