I don't understand this whole, 'ageing' thing with music?

I think the terms mean that the music was hot back then but you cant listen to it now because it just doesn't excite you anymore.

This happens with songs made off of a trend...like "Lean wit it, Rock wit it" was a hot ass song back then cause I was in the parties/clubs and it was fun to listen to...it was a fad.

Im older now and that fad expired so I don't get that hype off the song unless its nostalgia. Now music from 2pac, Biggie, Scarface, Jay-Z and Nas are, in most cases, songs that age well because the styles weren't based on a fad. Its based on emotion and creativity which never go out of style.
