I loved the album he did with Kweli ((Reflection Eternal) and I had his album he dropped in the early 00s on a burned CD and used to listen to it. Hi Tek had a run in the early 00s and he was one of the best out at the time IMO.

His run started before '98 though.

Dude was cooking up a lot of underground classics that flew under the radar. Definitely had a dope run.

Much better than any run 9th ever had. That's for damn sure.
I liked 9ths run in the mid 00s he did with Buckshot, Little Brother etc. but I agree in his prime Hi Tek was that dude.

Babygrande lowkey ruined his career…

For one, Hi-Teknology 3 was rushed and lacked the cohesiveness of the first 2.

I’m kinda glad that he didn’t go the Ron Browz route and started making Autotune songs like Pop Champagne and Gimme 20.

I got that and Quality in the same case too…

It’s one of the last CDs that I had left other Scarface TLOADB and The Fix .

Alchemist lapsed him in just a few years too.

Hi-Tek was getting work from 50 so I guess it wasn’t a total loss

Brolic... Alcoholics
Kanye always pointed out ID and Bink (to a lesser degree) for inspiring him. I always felt like there was a lot of Hi Tek in the early days of Kanye.
