I dont see a problem with the replacement refs

I think their "effect on the game" has been horribly blown out of proportion up to this point in the season. It just amazes me that people act like they've never complained about a call in any season before this one, and now suddenly this is the first year ever with any questionable calls. Typically in any game I've ever watched there's at least a couple of questionable calls per game, just now everybody has a central thing to blame it on.

The worst thing about the replacement refs so far imo is that they have made some of the wrong calls, though not noticeably wrong. IE calling illegal contact instead of defensive holding, or defensive holding instead of PI (but like 5 yards down the field) so the outcome of the play would've been practically the same

In the Lions Titans game they spotted the Titans an extra 12 yards in overtime putting them in field goal range.

Well, living in detroit I watched that game too... I didn't like it either, but at the same time, 26 yards and 38 yards (with that 12 yard argument) are both in field goal range for Rob Bironas with no questions asked.

I didn't say they are as good as regular officials, I just think that the badness is being overblown constantly since its the "in" thing to do

Fair enough, but to me it's not about just bad calls. It's about how the flow of the game is being affected because they're unsure of themselves plus people who are trying to take advantage of the situation.

Did you watch that Denver/ATL game last week where the 1st quarter took damn near an hour and a half to play? That's the kind of shyt that I'm talking about.

If i was the opponent id go out on a limb and say id prefer you attempt a 55 yard kick over a 43 yard one.
