Liz Allen was in high school tho. Betty and Liz. Then Gwen and MJ in college.
Peter was never an “incel” or on his way there. He was just the kid too smart for class and let it be known. He was never on some “fukk women” shyt at all. And his personality was never awful. He’s always been a good solid dude who just needed to come out of his shell. Which is pretty much most teenagers.
He grew up as he became more confident being Spider-Man and eventually that became his personality because Spider-Man is his real personality. That’s who Peter always was he was just too shy to let it out.
This idea that he’s this stereotype revenge of the nerd character is lame as fukk and I don’t know where people got that notion from. Unless the knowledge starts and ends at Rami’s Spider-Man movies.
