They let hipsters do reviews and hipsters tend to review from an emotional place. They cant look at a body of work and give it the rating it deserevs if they arent completely satisfied with all aspects. If they dont like the ending they give it a dramatic drop in points and call it trash. I never liked mass effect that much because it was such a simple minded game but still friends the hate isnt warranted. Watchign the reapers land and tear things up in the beginning was epic and nothing could drop it past a 9 after that.

me1 ending is the best, choosing whether to help teh council or let em die not that it matters, then when your fighting saren then either kill him or he kills himself and then the reaper comes out and then you go ham on it, then you fall down and the epic music is blazing and you rise from the ashes, and you let everyone know the reapers are coming and you will do anything within your power to stop them and the music takes you out and you sit their salivating waiting for part 2.

I actually just finished the game today. I didn't know when I stopped playing awhile ago that was the final fight lol I got tired of shooting waves of enemies over and over. Thats the worst boss fight ever? Ending a trilogy with just annoying waves of the most annoying enemies in the game lol

Ending was dope to me...it is what it is

I just finished ME3 and I must say; ya'll were wrong. The game is dope!

I just don't get why folk were mad over the ending, to the extend that they were. Yes, it ends pretty a aburptly (I chose to merk the Repers--and apparently everymachine in the galaxy), you never learn who the Reapers really are or Shepard's fate or the fate of your teammates.

I've read a little, over the 'net and see 2 reasons; closure & your last choices not mattering.

Closure - There never enough closure to a game 100+ hour game trilogy. A Mass Effect 4 would be overkill. It's like ppl forgot about their imagination. To me; my Shepard is dead--along with the teammates that I brought to the final battle, with me--the Mass Relays are gone, so, most of the galaxy is stuck in the Local Cluster and they'll just populate every planet in the Solar System. The Reaper tech (Citadel, Mass Relays, etc.) had to go if you really wanted to destroy them. And so on and so on...

The only thing that was wack was; I didn't import my ME1 & 2 character (PC) because I bought 3 on 360. So, I didn't see the effects my own actions, but, it still was a great experience.

Choices - :childplease: Ppl (before the DLC ending) seemed to want a perfect ending. It was a realistic ending, IMO. So many ppl sacrificed throughout the series, it almost seemed wrong that Shepard would make it unscathed. One dude was mad Illusive Man killed him, because, he didn't wanna do a Renegade action and pop him first. It just wasn't that big a deal. The game is about one thing...Stop the Reapers from destroying the galaxy. It wasn't gonna enrich your life to get a "atisfying ending.
you spend all this time with this group of characters. they're almost like a family after that many games to Shep. the game and series come to an end and you get almost zero insight as to what happened to these people. its like the ending was just disconnected from everything.

use my imagination for a story they wrote? you're basically telling my the ending should be fan fiction.

the ending did take choice away from you and the outcome weren't much different. you got three choices from extremely limited options. you basically got to make almost a different version of the same choice 3 ways.

SIDEBAR: Anyone knows how to move a ME2 save from PC to 360, so I can import it on my 360?
Also, the choices he gave you were bullshyt. You can't change what the game is about in the last 5 minutes. Controlling or working with the Reapers was never mentioned....not even hinted at in the 100+ hours of gameplay. It was "destroy the Reapers", that's it.
Fred.

That's my thing; if you knew the entire point of the game is to stop them, and you have the oppurtiunity to do so, what's the problem? It's not like you couldn't kill them.

There will never be enough closure

Seems some just want a ME4

I don't really need to know how everybody is carrying along, with their lives afterwards, to know that I was able to murk the Reapers so the galaxy could stop being apart of this crazy cycle

I don't know what else I could have asked for...oh yea', that game had too many cutscenes...I wanted to play through a lot of those parts

I'm surprised the Citadel beam part wasn't all cutscene

If you just beat the game now then you arent seeing the same endings that everyone saw when we were angry. They added a lot of things in the extended cut.

The new extended endings arent great but they are a lot better than the originals.

I understand ppl's reasons for complain

I don't understand what was exactly missing

you understand why people were complaining, yet the title says "I don't get the outrage"

Idk, seems to me you just feel like playing the contrarian. Its pretty obvious why people were upset

Outrage and complaints are two different things

Complainst happen everyday

Outrage has you starting petitions and raising money and contacting the Better Business Bureau

I understand the former, but, the latter is mind-boggling

Maybe it has less to do with the game and more with the players

I've watched portions of all the endings online

Some people took it too far, agreed

As long as you get why people thought the ending was garbanzo beans, we're on the same page

Okay, I understand, fully, now...

Without the DLC, it leave too much to the imagination...

Mass Effect 3 Ending and Why We Hate It! - YouTube

But, the DLC ending clears enough up to keep the game straight

I'm watchin' more videos explainin' and I'm on board

I'll d/l the extended cut (it's not like I haven't watched mad "ending")

And that video was a week after the game dropped. The internet went nuts that week.

The Extended Cut is aight but you gotta understand it damn near took a riot for them to even make that.

Well, I don't think I mentioned how I even got into the series

I kept hearing about it and decided to try ME3 out

I played about 4 hours and loved it

People were tellin' me to play the others and Amazon had a deal for 1 & 2 for $11 (PC digital download)

In between all that, I wasn't really connected to the internet talk of 3--which I got, only a month ago...

As for not understanding the rage; people were bein' too vague

That video summed it up in one sentence (then explained in great detail); we invested too much time to speculate what happened

I actually went and replayed my ending--I beat it the day after I made this thread and had watched a bunch of online ME3 ending vids--and realized how much was really left to imagination

I was wrong

Once I get it on PC, I'm gettin' that extended cut (to import my 1 & 2)

But, the DLC still keeps it as the best game I ever beat...(Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3...but, I still don't understand the story )

Oh yea...My reexamine was cause by the news of ME4

I ain't mad at you breh. :manny:

You need to hop on that multi-player though, especially if this is your favorite game universe. Being able to play as Geth, Quarian, Turian, Krogan, Vorcha, Cerberus, Salerian, Volus, Batarian, Drell, Asari :ahh:

Plus they just added that multi-player DLC that has the Collectors :whew:

It's a great game but the choices didnt matter. Kill the Krogan, a different Krogan does the same shyt in part 2 & 3. Kill off the Rachni, they're back in 3. Choices ain't mean shyt. Still loved the game.
