I just finished ME3 and I must say; ya'll were wrong. The game is dope!

I just don't get why folk were mad over the ending, to the extend that they were. Yes, it ends pretty a aburptly (I chose to merk the Repers--and apparently everymachine in the galaxy), you never learn who the Reapers really are or Shepard's fate or the fate of your teammates.

I've read a little, over the 'net and see 2 reasons; closure & your last choices not mattering.

Closure - There never enough closure to a game 100+ hour game trilogy. A Mass Effect 4 would be overkill. It's like ppl forgot about their imagination. To me; my Shepard is dead--along with the teammates that I brought to the final battle, with me--the Mass Relays are gone, so, most of the galaxy is stuck in the Local Cluster and they'll just populate every planet in the Solar System. The Reaper tech (Citadel, Mass Relays, etc.) had to go if you really wanted to destroy them. And so on and so on...

The only thing that was wack was; I didn't import my ME1 & 2 character (PC) because I bought 3 on 360. So, I didn't see the effects my own actions, but, it still was a great experience.

Choices - :childplease: Ppl (before the DLC ending) seemed to want a perfect ending. It was a realistic ending, IMO. So many ppl sacrificed throughout the series, it almost seemed wrong that Shepard would make it unscathed. One dude was mad Illusive Man killed him, because, he didn't wanna do a Renegade action and pop him first. It just wasn't that big a deal. The game is about one thing...Stop the Reapers from destroying the galaxy. It wasn't gonna enrich your life to get a "atisfying ending.

They advertised the game saying all the choices you made from since ME1 will have shape and effect the final outcome.

Not some blue pill/red pill bullshyt

I understand, but, how would you have changed the ending?

The Reapers were the big bad guys

You had to stop them, but, the most powerful weapon in the universe was the only way...it came with consequences

I don't know the alternate ending, but, my regular ending seemed fine to me

I understand............

then why make a thread essentially saying that you don't?

If the ending worked for you, cool. But the developers themselves know they fukked up, hence the extended ending DLC being released free of charge.

First off

You beat the game with the extended cut dlc already downloaded. So you missed out on the fact that every ending was the same, just a different color hue was used

Me3 was the first in the series I beat. I went back and played 1,2 and 3 again, and now I realize and understand the complaints

Choosing if Ashley the Alien Racist Bigot or Maiden lives, that is a dramatic choice they hit you with half way through the first game.

The rachni queen was a really big choice in the first game

That and the fact that they expect you to be happy with Freddie prince James Vega as a krogan stand in? You couldn't have any of your party members from ME2 be in your party during me3, Anderson saying stupid out of left field shyt like "I was born in London"

The true shining gem of this installment was the highly addictive multiplayer

I need to stop you right there. No offense but I have no idea why you're commenting when 95% of the complaints about the game is, literally no choices you made mattered. Of course you aren't gonna notice that, you didn't import.

There is a few other reasons I can go into, but that right there sinks the game for a lot of people.

Like what?

Why would it matter that you choose Ashley to live, when the entire point was to end the Reapers?

There's ME1--the means--the end

I don't understand how your means would have changed the outcome of: kill the Reapers, control them or synthesize the syn. & org.

BTW, I did beat all 3 games, so, it's not like I don't understand the trilogy

 I was surprised to see in for $20 (New) @ Gamestop...had to cop...and I didn't wanna use ORigin

I think people over reacted, the outrage and the overly bad user ratings for the ENTIRE game is some bullshyt

the game all the way to the end was great, the extended cut made up for people complaints imo

That's the thing that had em gone

As I played on, throughout, the game got better and I kept sayin' to myself, "the ending has to be terrible, on some ":troll: Nah, it was all just a dream-Repo-Men-tip" for the ending to deserve that bad a reaction".

Granted: the cover system is still weak (:sadcam: Tryin' to outpace 2 Banshees while everyone and they momma shootin' at you) and the story, sometimes, suffers from ":childplease: Really?"

The game is still 9/10 to me...and I give the series a 10/10

I love the new gameplay (I don't love how they streamlined everything, but, ME1 is a little too RPG for my liking)

What final battle? You fight a couple waves if husks, beutes and banshees, I was doing that everyday on wave 8-11 on silver and gold reaper matches

Unless you mean the maruader that pops out and shoots you while your limping

Face it, harbinger came down and killed EVERYONE
Shep never went up and talked to star child because there is no way he could have survived harbingers attack

I never had the pleasure of playin' Multiplayer, but, I thought the whole London part was doper

You could say the same about the Collector Base, except the Human Reaper (which wasn't ALL that, IMO)

Nothing mattered. For example, they make a big deal out of whether or not you kill the Rachni in the first game....only to have to re-appear in the 3rd game no matter what. If you killed them the Reapers just cloned them.

There is all kinds of shyt like that in the game. The entire game....hell, the entire series....you're trying to get your shyt together for this epic battle....doing side missions, getting the whole galaxy on your side....and the only difference in the end is the color of the explosion. Red, blue or green.

This ain't even going into other bullshyt, like the Starkid. You cannot introduce a new character in the last 5 minutes for the sole purpose of an exposition dump....it never works. People hated it at the end of "Matrix: Reloaded", people hate it now. It's lazy as fukk and an amateur writing mistake.

Also, the choices he gave you were bullshyt. You can't change what the game is about in the last 5 minutes. Controlling or working with the Reapers was never mentioned....not even hinted at in the 100+ hours of gameplay. It was "destroy the Reapers", that's it.

I could go on but I need to point out that Bioware's own writers didn't like the ending, which was written by 2 guys instead of the entire staff.

Oh and you need to play multi-player, it's fun as hell. There is a fukk ton of free DLC for it so there's a lot to get into.
