Not for religion. The tradition is ancient and not based around any religion. It's done to symbolize manhood, it's done to stave infections. My tribe would also do it so men could sustain pleasuring women. Ant eaters are known to cause many defects.

I was circumcized at 13 and was awake for it so I remember what it's like to have foreskin..

I did it for both my boys, but if I had another I probably wouldn’t. I saw a video of it happening and So much pain for a sweet, precious newborn.

He won't remember NONE of that. It isn't traumatizing to us at all and it'll prevent health issues.​
