Yeah it was an underlying factor in his draft stock dropping and the C's picking him up so late, dude was athletically like a young T-Mac coming out of high school but lacked basketball smarts. :salute: to that man for turning it around though
Shouldve went to college and played for the scowl

Green was in the sixth grade when a freak accident left him with half of his ring finger. Wearing his mother's class ring, the 2007 NBA Slam Dunk champion tried to jam on a makeshift hoop attached to a doorway. The ring caught on a nail and his finger was ripped to the bone.
Amputation was the only option.

"All you saw was nothing but white bone, like a skeleton," Green said. "They said my tendons, all my ligaments were ripped out."

I always knew that he was missing a digit, but this is the first time I recall seeing HOW he did it. :merchant:

I always root for him to get it together because of all the T-Mac comparisons they made when he was getting drafted. Hopefully, the Suns make the playoffs this year and he gets a chance to shine.

I had no idea!

If this was some cac with a missing finger, playing his sport at the highest level, we'd never hear the end of it. Remember Jim Abbott, that pitcher with the missing hand?

Gerald Green just gained another fan. I'm rooting for that breh to succeed, now.
