I love the idea of this thread. Rather that limit it to this Friday I would love to see it be a weekly challenge. I've been itching to scoop up another Stephen King novel so we will see if this week will happen.

@Hawaiian Punch I agree! That sounds even better. Ill go ahead and edit the OP

@Domingo Halliburton THATS CRAZY:mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:!! Imagine living your everyday life based on that concept. Life would be nothing but a breeze because everything else would be firmly in your power. Think about it. If you truly believed that you can relive your favorite moment anytime you want, what is there to stop you!:banderas: But it goes to show you that theres more than one way to look at something. I definitely wanna read this book now.

game on.... i'm starting with the seven secrets of highly effective people... it's an audiobook by stephen r. covey.... it's about habits that build the foundation for successful people.... basically, routine builds character....

question, is any book acceptable? .... i have a lot of tech books and books about business that i want to read this year.....

WELCOME! The more people the better it gets. Yea any book. any subject. no matter how controversial. We are not in the business of limiting knowledge in this thread:blessed:. Just remember to share what you learned so we can all learn too

received "our kind of people" by lawrence otis graham recently, will start reading probably tonight

Currently reading a Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way Of Life by Santideva

Won't finish it in a week but will rate and semi review when I get a chance

I'm reading "Specification of the RTE software". It's 621 pages long.

@NZA WELCOME! Ive never heard of that book but i cant wait to read your review

@midwesthiphop Nice to have you in here! In order for this to be fun and fair we gotta stick to the rules so we cant do half reviews brother. But i absolutely think you can finish that book in time and im challenging you to do so. Your review for this book just jumped to my most anticipated slot so dont let me down!

@keepemup Nice! Is it for pleasure or your profession? I plan on reading a dummies guide to Java and Ruby Rails in the very near future.

Also I wanted to add one more thing. If you finish a book early in a week feel free to start another book but the rules still apply. Any book you consume in a week has to be reviewed that particular week. Every week means a new book thats what makes it challenging. So if you can read 10 books in a week then do so but they all have to be done and reviewed the very same week.

looking at this book list... I feel ashamed of the book I'm reading.

So I will switch it up and pick a random book I have, that I never read...

Probably compound effect - darren hardy.

And What do you guys mean by 'reviewed'?

I read the godfather books not to long ago. They were informative on how rigged life is.

breaking news: Coli posting drops by 50% as members now spend their time actually reading books :zfg:

@Crakface Care to do a quick review and tell us more about what you mean by how rigged life is?

@tmonster If it means people are out there gaining knowledge and growing then im all for it honestly :yeshrug:

@Blackking DONT FEEL ASHAMED! The whole point of this thread is to learn different ideas from people in all different walks of life. So read whatever you want, but choose something that your heart really wants to do. And what we mean by "reviewed" is that after you read your chosen book, you have to answer these questions below:

1. What you read and by who
2. why you picked that particular book
3. A brief (AS BRIEF AS YOU WANT) summary of the book
4. What you think the author was saying by writing the book or what was he trying to accomplish.
5. What you learned from reading the book

Lets get it!:salute:
