In 1998...Austin and Goldberg were the hottest top faces. Starrcade fans went against Goldberg but he usually got great reactions. Rock turned tweener after Summerslam 98 and online pundits were calling for Austin to turn heel and Rock to be top face..they thought Austin was getting stale and had changed too much from his face turn. As we all konow..the Deadly Games heel turn worked and Austin stayed as over as ever. Fans were still chanting Rocky too much during the Foley feud though.

Nash got more love than Goldberg every time they interacted up until and including their match at Starrcade 98.

They also chose Sting over Goldberg.

The Rock wasn't even officially a face until May of 99 so I got no idea why you guys keep mentioning him.

Stone Cold, Goldberg, Foley, and Sting all were more over and stayed over for a longer period of time. The overrating of Nash here is hilarious.
