Great documentary but I think the scene when James visited Harlem and looked petrified as if he was saying to himself "what have I got myself into" was very telling. The guy seemed most at ease in the midst of cacs. Which indicates to me if he was alive today and had his choice he would most likely be a conservative who often opines about blacks on Fox news
