The more accurate description is a prequel/reboot.
3 different versions of the book? how different are they?
only interested if they follow the book. the fukk is so hard about adapting such a great story to the screen? its like they go out of their way not to do it.
This shyt just dropped like 7 years ago and is a classic.
@ nikkas callin dat bullshyt a "classic".
yeah it came pretty close but the ending didnt resemble the book. the shyt is sucha perfect ending, they just need to run with it.Doesn't Omega Man come the closest?

I think because it deviates from the book so much, it's not a bad idea.reboot?
Will Smith was the GOAT in this movie.
On point. That's what made the book ending so dope, the moment he realizes all that, that he's become literally a boogie man/ghost story figure, and that life as he knew it no longer exists had me & for himThe movie is great until the monsters show up. It would've been better to make them vampires or something else than cgi "nightstalkers" and it loses what made the story dope. You could've made them practical and it would've felt a lot better than that terrible CGI they threw up on the screen. And I know you said don't throw the book thing at you but I'm going to have to on this one point: What made the story so dope, is the idea of a new society being developed and this one guy being the holdout from an old society. He is now the monster, he is now the creature that goes bump in the night, the one the kids are afraid of and hear all these stories about because he goes around during the day and kills them in their sleep.
