Guys, I got KTFO.

For all of you who offered advice and words of encouragement, I thank you and just want to show my humility and honesty.

Long story short, it went like this: I immediately went into the fight headhunting, but he stayed just outside of range and my punches missed. Then he started leg licking me, and let me tell you (for non-Kyo guys) those f'ing kicks hurt....a couple of times around the knee area and I was a little desperate. Just when I started to actively defend the leg kicks came a head kick, which I can't remember but my buddy told me all about it. This all happened within 30 seconds.

Good news is my big sis cried a little for me and bytched her boyfriend out for fukking me up like that. Right now I am laid out on the couch nursing a beer, so I can't complain.

So now I will eat crow: Kyo guys are some tough b*stards and they have my respect. I am going to continue with Muay Thai, but I will never discount one of those mf'ers again.

It seemed to me, the thing that really makes them tough is their total disregard for defense and total lack of fear. I punched this guy on the top of the head about four times with a combo and it didn't phase him in the least bit. While I was concentrating on my combo, he started leg kicking me then BOOM the headkick. Sucks to be KO'ed...it is my first time. But it is all good...there is a first time for everything.

Later,

Bill

"did anyone take a vid?"

Yeah, one of his friends did....but I honestly I have been laying on my couch and just came to terms where the hell I am....I will post it when I get it. I am not embarrassed by the vid....I feel it is sort of like Cro-Cop vs. Igor V.....fairly even fight then a big ass head kick...although my fight was much shorter...LOL...it was barely even a fight.

Maybe you should switch to Kyokushin.

Didn't have time...I went for a quick punch knock out and that is pretty much the last thing I remember.

LMAO @ thinking 6 months of Muay Thai was going to be enough to beat a World Champion level Kyokushin Karate guy.

I say ask for a rematch shoot for a double and choke him out.

But still props for stepping up after reading this thread.

Thanks man I will admit I was naive but I definitely learned a lesson.

I challenged him to MMA, but he was smart enough to know that my 8 years of BJJ would make that fight not fair at all.

To tell you the truth though, if I get into another scrap with him I am going to shoot a double and choke his ass out and blame it on adrenaline. I don't give a fukk....a guy can only take so much.

Kyo is nothing to scoff at. It's the most devastating variant of Karate there is. You would have had much, much better luck working MT kick defense and investing the rest of what you know into some proper boxing...then at least you could go after the weakness of the art with moderate success as the guy would see your head kick coming a mile off and then proceed to hurt you very badly.

Boxing is your friend. Props to admitting to your ass kicking but you should have just smiled and nodded. Pissing contests like this are like poker...you think you're calling someones bluff and then they turn over and you realize you've been raped. Always better just to fold.

Damn breh you don't got to make each post in that threads it's own post in this one.

Troll threads on fight forums are the best though

If this isn't a troll post why........why on earth would you think fighting a world championship contender when you're green as fukk is a good idea. Why? And what was he trying to prove posting a forum about it? He didn't even record the ass whooping.

MMA popularity has most people thinking that if it isn't Muay Thai, BJJ, or Boxing, then it "aint shyt".
He sounded like one of those people. :ld:

:heh: one of these idiots who has been watching MMA (probably only UFC) for a while and thought 6 months of stand up is all you need to know. if he really had been doing BJJ for 8 years you would think he's at least been watching UFC for maybe 10 years. anyone with 10+ years training & tournament experience in any stand up fighting would have wiped the floor with this guy let alone one of the tougher Martial Arts like Kyokushin

Respect to Master Oyama aka Hand of God the creator of Kyokushin....One of the greatest Marital Artist and Fighter in History, read about the Master and the reason there's no head punches but they do it real life combat because Master Oyama killed a person with one punch to the head

Should have just had An mma fight

Why? It was the striking the dude was arguing about and saying that he has 6 months of Muay Thai training and MT is the toughest MA there is and would kick this guys ass. He KNEW he did Kyokoshin for 11 years and went to World Cup tournaments as well!! Dude just sounds like a moron. That would be like me challenging a BJJ guy saying his style of BJJ is crap and I've done 6 months training with John Will and will beat him easily.

He was dumb. Doubt his bjj experience was that deep.
