$93,000 is the top paying district. Boston teachers average $83,000. That's AVERAGE.
You have to get half way down that page in order to get to teachers making under $70,000 a year average.
I know one who just recently retired. He was making $115,000 a year as a Math teacher. He was the head of his department and coached 2 varsity sports. He's going to take home 80% of that for life with his pension.
So is it that teachers don't make enough for what they DO or is it that they don't make shyt?
Or do teachers get paid like shyt in other parts of the country?
Note: These averages are 3 years old. Chances are that they have all gone up. As most teacher raises are tied into standards of living.
Also these numbers are WITH SUMMERS OFF and a 185 day work year
