I always thought one of the funniest things about The Shockmaster's debut was Sid's promo

Even Mattel made a Shockmaster figure :russ: (it was comic con exclusive, but you can find it easily on eBay)

And yes that is EXACTY how it’s packaged :dead:

You can also hear Booker say "Who is this motherfukker"? Stevie Ray said Sid told them when he saw that plank that Shockmaster was gonna trip and fall that's why he kept saying "I knew it, I knew it"
I read an interview with Tugboat and he said that it wasn't a prop wall but one of the set walls used for Flair's interview show and they told Tugboat to just force his way through it.

The problem was that he couldn't see shyt through the Stormtrooper helmet because they painted over the eye parts and he indeed tripped over the bottom part of the wall after punching through it.

Flair getting the maid out of there before everything went to shyt :deadmanny:
Watching this video again I can't help but notice how terribly the whole thing was shot. The blocking was just sloppy as hell because you could barely see Flair and the maid leaving.
While Sting was talking all we saw was the back of Bulldog.
Just a mess.

So where did things go wrong? The way Fred recounts it, “The glitter was getting in my eyes. The secretary peeled off pieces of her pantyhose, made them into patches, and glued them over the eye holes. I could barely see out of the eye holes but now I was totally blind. They also told me they hadn’t gimmicked the wall. It was just like a wall, like if you’d go from your kitchen to your dining room. I had to bust through it. They told me I was going to have to hit it hard. I was benching almost 600 lbs at that point, I was strong and everything. I told Mike Graham not to worry, that I could bust through the wall. It wasn’t the first thing I’ve busted through in my life or broken I told him! I got the cue and I made a double axe handle, raised my arms above my head, and blasted the wall. I was standing 5 or 6 inches from it as I hit it as hard as I could. I blew the wall out and became a human teeter-totter because of an unstable board just below my knees. I really did shock the world!”

Was this a live segment though? It looks like it's from WCW Sat morning show. The 90's was wild for wrestling man. Great time to be a young teenager. Sat had an ungodly amount of wrestling on tv for me. WCW on TBS at like 9 am. WWE on Fox at 12, channel 11 at 1. More WWE at 7 on channel 11 again and then WCW at on TBS again. And if I disconnected my cable box I could get a channel from Rochester that aired ECW late night as well. Crazy man.

It was actually Ole Anderson doing the voiceover for the Shockmaster promo at the end.

Didn’t know this but not shocked (no pun intended) since Ole’s ol’ decrepit racist ass also did The Black Scorpion and they basically sound alike.

I wouldn’t even knock the idea of someone called “The Shockmaster” but they literally just threw a bunch of dumb nonsensical shyt together for the character on some straight indyriffic shyt.
