I can't tell if he's playing a part or really like that way, either way it isn't a great sign. The real test is looking at a person's day to day life, which is impossible the day of internet "influencers". You quoted writing and speaking as an indicator, but can you say his behaviors reflect his speaking and writing? If it does, then yes, he has a problem.
