Joshua's defense and conditioning is super suspect , no way in hell should he be taking that many punches ever. He damn near was begging to get knocked out

First and foremost..my problem is this kid needs to go to Mayweather for stamina training. Spence and Mayweather doing 15 rounds in camp...Joshua was breathing hard by the start of the 3rd round. He's a gold medalist..wtf is going on here??
You cant train for fear; fear drains the energy like none other; that boy had his mouth piece hanging before the first bell ring like he aint want to fight and was dreading being there......

It wasn’t conditioning. He got banged on the temple, likely concussed and from there it was over. If you’re concussed you’re not regaining your legs.

Great interview.

Now that he mentioned it, i did find it odd how AJ's camp was hovering over him in the corner while michael buffer was announcing the fighters. Makes me wonder if David Allen may be on to something about AJ getting concussed in sparring. On the other hand, ppl were sayin that they brought in amateurs for sparring. idk.

I agree with him about AJ not having a jab. That's the big difference between him and Wilder imo. Wilder may be less "skilled"/ polished, but his bread and butter 1-2 + overhead is like Thanos; it's inevitable. We saw that with Ortiz and Fury. And it allows DW to maintain distance and some ring control, whereas AJ just gets backed up.

Going back and looking at the variables, it's clear that Joshua got fukked up in sparring within 6 weeks of the fight :yeshrug:

The 'he brought in amateurs to spar with, has been hanging in the back of my head since the fight. Why would someone bring in amateurs to spar with, if they were going to face a power puncher? Everyone knows ams are stick and move stick and move.
