Eyewall Replacement Cycle is just about complete which is not the best news. Chances of a landfall are increasing.

Post from Americanwx

The fact that the Eye wall replacement cycleappears to be finally "completing" is very concerning for a few reasons. 1. The wind field, especially the hurricane force wind field will expand even further, 2. It will still be over very warm water long enough to possibly restrengthen some... Even if this isn't in the form of stronger cat 4 winds, but just an expansion of the radius of the strongest cat 4 winds, it is just as concerning. 3. A larger wind field means the storm surge impacts further down the coast (especially along the particularly susceptible portions in N FL/ S G) will be even more significant as strong easterly winds will be pushing water along the coast for even longer.

It is prudent to remember that this is still likely a once in a lifetime (or even worse) type storm surge for portions of northern Florida and Southern Georgia.

For real tho the media fukking up big time the way they're hyping this up.....I heard Don Lemon say storm of the century like 20 times in the half hour I had it on CNN. If this storm flops they gonna have a real problem with people not evacuating in future storms

I'd rather the media hype it up and not be a big deal (chances of that are slim) than the media say "there's nothing to worry about" and then you have mass casualties :manny:

As someone who may go on to study meteorology this shyt is intriguing af :lupe:

This storm is a meteorological anomaly but if it makes that u turn and comes back stronger with Nicole then :merchant::to:,

This is definitely rare, it's been over 50 years and even a 100 years that some areas have been affected by a Hurricane of this magnitude.

By the way, for the first time, there are two Category 2 or stronger active Hurricanes in that part of the Atlantic.
