Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
I am a nervous wreck from here. I have friends who opted to stay in mandatory evacuation areas and I am terrified they will be underwater. With little kids. It's a true worst-case-scenario for our loved ones in that area. It's gonna be massive areas of destruction.

What areas are these?

You shouldn't worry about them unless they're on the beach.

The home won't blow away and only the shore will have a substantial surge.

I remember back in the day we had some shyt that was waist deep. It's a good thing my mom's house was elevated, it didn't get inside the house

Breh, that storm surge is nothing to play with, there will be water pushing into the St Johns river and that's gonna make for a pretty devastating flood for the area. If you're in a mandatory evac. area, you gotta go, you gambling with your life when you decide to stay.

Daytona Beach area. We got the intracoastal waterway which doubles the exposure to water and storm surge.
