Unless its a Cat 5, most don't care... and it's their first Hurricane. They think it's the wind that will kill them, but not understand true physics in which the wind pushing the water on shore and flooding them. I wouldn't be surprise if a couple or many scream for help in their own houses, with no way to break through the roof as they drown to death.

got off work at 630. something told me to take my ass in the garage. rained all damn day, and the side door has a slight gap. water got in under the gap and into the basement. not a lot, but enough. thank god for my wife. we got the water out, and i took my ass to home depot on 78. still open. grabbed 6 sand bags 4.50 a piece and placed them in front and back of that damn door. people still out like nothing going on. every business open smh
