Living in Charlotte with no flood insurance on my home :sadcam:.

I'm in a low risk area, and it would take a 1 in 100 year flood to hit my house, but I'm still nervous.

The worse area in Charlotte is in the Southeast with all them creeks..Dilworth, Myers Park, etc..plus all them big ass trees, it'll be interesting to see if the ground being super saturated will keep them bytches from falling over just like with Hugo.

fukkin Dilwoth and Myers Park with them trees smh. I’m talking about one tree falling across 2 to 4 lane roads and shyt. I’m sure more will fall in this weather. I don’t see how people can live out there after some shyt like that happening

Yeah. The storm isn't going to affect my area as bad. Portsmouth is just going to get rain.
i know you big on volunteering and helping so after the storm passes, consider heading out there and helping the folks. The only black Indian tribe, the Lumbees, are going to be heavily impacted.

"The trees give the neighborhood character." Dumb ass white folks.

Then the city did a restoration with Little Sugar Creek and these jackasses have multiple drainages that come from Uptown that channels directly into it still..so the entire Greenway turns into damn rapids when it rains heavy, I've seen the water raise up to a point where it crested halfway up the tunnel at 3rd St.

The Catawba and the dams Duke Energy uses along it will be an issue if these nikkas talking about Harvey like rains.

You ain’t lying! Man I remember watching the little sugar creek greenway go from having a walkway to totally washing out in less than an hour. Man if there’s ever a catastrophic flooding even in Charlotte then man I’m going to feel bad for everybody in the metropolitan and other places near there. That greenway and creek is Ike a big ass bowl

Edit: and yeah those white folks surd so say shyt like the trees give the neighborhood character. Man Queens Road has the worst trees in CLT! They’re always falling and those white folks could care less.

I'm in RTP & its a madhouse. :sadcam: I had to go to the hood corner store to buy some water...the last 30 pack of aquafina :blessed:. I got mad charcoal, wings, steaks & hebrew nationals. No alcohol cause staying sharp & on point is a must:ufdup:

Folks need to take some empty jugs and fill them up with tap water at the least.

I can appreciate why they did it but 15 years ago..the creek naturally had a high ass shore line through the city that helped buffered against flooding until they wanted to change the aesthetics from CPCC all the way to Freedom Park.

I swear I’m not trying to hype this up but for a storm to move in on the coast, and sit offshore being able to feed off the warm waters, then move southwest down the SC Coast is something I’ve never seen before (which is what the Euro showed). If you look at the NHC track though, look at the timing, between Thursday and Friday it’s only moved about a 100 Miles and it’s still a Hurricane so imagine places on the coast seeing Hurricane conditions for 24-36 hours, imagine some inland areas dealing with Tropical Storm conditions even longer, that’s what the *potential* is with this storm. This is not something that’s gonna move in and move out within a day, this is a multi day event.
I thought Metro Savannah was going to be good, we going to get fukked again ain't we :picard::picard::picard:

Alabama? Get ready breh :damn:!

Surprised there's no watch in Georgia coast. Hopefully those in Savannah and that area are prepared and keeping an eye out just in case.

fukk.

That's coming right at me from that image.

Appreciate the drops in this thread too, been very helpful.
It will be a Tropical Storm by then. Where I'm at right now in SC it will be a tropical storm when it hits land.

These counties had ample time to get earth movers and all sorts of shyt on deck. When I went to Walmart earlier today I saw the National Guard in there.
