I'm assuming they have to prove what he has is actually child porn before they can move on him...If he's right and he does have child porn, he is currently guilty of possession, production (making copies) and distribution of child porn (NY Post)...

This entire story is absolute nonsense but from a forensic standpoint, you could bit level image a hard drive of any format and mount it as a read-only image to view the contents. I would expect a semi-fairly competent computer repair store owner to be able to do this as he should see failed machines that people need to retrieve data from all the time.

With that being said, so much in this story contradicts other so-called facts.
