The guy turned in the hard drive to the FBI in December 2019. The guy said there is sensitive material on there that's why he reached out. They should have examined it and had the contents verified for accuracy. That way any story like the one that came out could be easily debunked. Now we are still waiting to see how authentic the emails are when it could have been done by the FBI by now.
