we struggle to understand how our minds and bodies work...then we fight with our individual emotions, thoughts, etc.

how does Humanity approach this now that we can simulate ourselves?

we try to recreate ourselves...not perfect, but better as time goes by?

or are we an imperfect replication just making another fukked up copy?

Why are you so desperate to reinvent the god concept?

Its dead.

Until you have any evidence supporting what you're saying, all you're doing is relying on sheer speculation and assertion. Neither of which have been supported.

At a certain point AI will become conscious of its self then it will pose the same questions man pose today regarding the existence of a God.

Willfully being ignorant of (well at least humans are) the fact that a man can only perceive the acts and doings of what concerns man. Yet that same man has the nerve to exalt himself above all else, and say there is none other.

Your dog will never understand why you keep it on a leash, because the understanding of a dog, cannot reach higher than that of a dog.

But I guess since man cannot "provide quantifiable evidence supporting this assertion" of a being higher than his self, it doesnt exist...

I personally don't think computers will ever achieve sentience. Put all that skynet matrix shyt aside and consider that the only test we have for gauging the effectiveness of AI is our own perception and interaction with it. This puts the gauge of an AI directly on our capabilities to validate it, always lagging. We can't even validate our own consciousness, how are we going to make something that can do the likes? And make a 1:1 copy if not better at that?

Sure, it'll eventually be good enough to ask dumb ass question like "what is the meaning of life?" but to believe that it inherently gives a fukk is foolish.

We have a good idea how the body works and were understanding the mind more and more; This is why we can perform brain and heart surgery, and why we can diagnose injuries and repair them.

With that thought process makes me wonder if we do better things than God since we create AIs that can outperform us on mathematical levels, for example.

:dwillhuh: What happened to her chin?
