Microplastic pollution has been detected in human blood for the first time, with scientists finding the tiny particles in almost 80% of the people tested.

The discovery shows the particles can travel around the body and may lodge in organs. The impact on health is as yet unknown. But researchers are concerned as microplastics cause damage to human cells in the laboratory and air pollution particles are already known to enter the body and cause millions of early deaths a year.

Plastic does break down so if you drink a lot of bottled water there's a high chance you have plenty of it in your system.

Brita filter gang stay winning :whew:

None of my cookware has PCBs in it either :whew:

Cups in the cabinet are all earthen or glass.

Brita filters are made of plastic.

kinda off topic but its weird how certain folks accept certain scientific studies like this one (which is fine with me)

but then in the very same breath deny studies that say we're essentially apes genetically from the very same scientist?

My autistic brain doesn't understand how yall pick and choose what to accept and deny so easily.
