Its a biographical TV show. Go listen to the albums for more rapping.
You think people are here for the award winning cinematography and acting? It aint a biography when 3/4 of the scenes are :duck:.

I know yall discussed this already but, why did he pass off that tape at the beginning of the episode with "Wu-tang" on it but then had to be sold about the ideology by Ghostface later in the episode? Is that just bad writing or what?

Because Bobby thought the NAME was cool but wasn’t 100% sold on the philosophy. Just like calling himself Rakeem was a cool sounding name when he had no idea what it meant. The last two episodes are showing how Bobby comes into contact with, and eventually embraces the 5% teachings that lead to what the Wu come to embody. Wu-Tang is a cool NAME, but there would be no success or 30 year legacy without all of them, led by Bobby, coming to giving it MEANING

It’s pretty clear that WZA’s character is going to go through a transformation into the RZA. That was the reason for the focus on the 5% lessons and the Just Ice scene. We have to hope that they picked the actor who could convincingly portray both WZA and RZA.

Plus Bobby already had half of Wu Tang in the studio with the beat for 7th Chamber (I think) playing in the background telling them they needed to try to kill each other on the track.
Then he gets dropped. Then he can’t convince Monica Lynch to sign Wu Tang. Then he gets robbed of the music he created. He’s at his lowest point.

Ghost then comes through and puts the battery in his back. That last scene when Ghost says they need to go and get the music back :blessed:

Isn’t Power a couple years younger than Raekwon, tho? Not that it’s impossible for that kinda dynamic to exist but I’m kinda confused about their relationship as well.

Power is Divines age mate I believe. Rae and RZA are age mates.

:dead: the character is the WZA now until he proves himself worthy of RZA.

Speaking of WZA, look at the preparation the cat playing Divine had to go through

prepare for the role, Martinez read whatever he could find, the RZA's books ('The Wu-Tang Manual' and 'The Tao of Wu') from which the show is inspired, and U-God's (member of the Wu-Tang Clan) book ('Raw: My Journey Into the Wu-Tang'). He also watched the Showtime documentary, 'Of Mics and Men' and a BET documentary from the early 2000s. Martinez also hung out with and talked to the real Divine, whom he finds to be "very quiet." He focused on clips of Divine from the documentaries and worked with dialect coach Beth McGuire ('Black Panther'). He spoke about the process of getting Divine's dialect right, "we broke it down scientifically, we figured out what kind of sounds he makes that are different than my own. What's his rhythm with speaking and then we took all the information and tied it into the character." Martinez had to work really hard to get Divine's squeaky voice right which he found challenging

Hulu's 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' actor Julian Elijah Martinez says inspiring work went behind telling Divine's story

Meanwhile WZA showed up on set and played himself.

Shameik Moore did the same in playing Rae. This WZA dude has to be doing it intentionally. There's no way you can hang out with RZA, talk to him, watch him and come up with that.
We can only hope. Just based on the story so far, it seems that they are setting WZA up for a transformation. We’ll see if WZA can also play RZA convincingly. I don’t think we’ll get an answer to this until the next season.

Game of Timbs is my shyt and I'm set for season 2. Definitely not a fan of Dave East trying to play Meth, but despite the lack of physical resemblance, bruh playing Bobby got Rza vocal mannerisms down pretty damn good. Same with bruh playing Kwon. I'm hoping there's more Raekwon and Ghostface next season as Voltron gets assembled.

From my understanding Ghost had more siblings/brothers than what they are showing in this show. One of them died at a young age, Devon, and he did have 2 brothers with muscular dystrophy.

I don't know who this Attila dude is. Part of me feel he's gonna be either the dude RZA shot and killed (and got off on self defense) or the dude that shot Ghost in the neck.
It was an attempted murder charge that he beat, but the brehs he shot were just wounded, not killed
